Suboxone Treatment Program

We stongly believe that a comprehensive and integrative approach to Suboxone Treatment is the only approach that makes sense. While some programs operate within a clinic and follow a dispensary model, Office Based Treatment is personal, integrative, and can offer a treatment environment that allows patients to feel at home, and not institutionalized. Combining comprehensive therapy from licensed therapists and a physician who specializes in Addiction, our patients can author their treatment plans, design their treatment system, and reach their treatment and recovery goals at their own pace. We treat you with respect and focus on your strengths and not your weaknesses.Understanding the Stages of Treatment is important going in to your treatment.

The following outlines these stages.

InductionYou will initially meet with the Licensed alcohol and Drug Counselor for an Assessment to determine a clinical diagnosis and appropriateness for Substance Abuse Treatment. If you do not meet the admission criteria, alternative treatment and/or a referral will be discussed, and help will be provided to make sure that you access that treatment. Treatment begins with Induction. You will be asked to present yourself at the doctor's office in a moderate state of withdrawal. Being in this state is vital to having SUBOXONE or SUBUTEX work well. The drug you have been misusing needs to be free from the receptors in your brain, so that the medication can bind to them. You will then meet with the Doctor, either that same day, or within a few days, to undergo another evaluation to determine if you are medically appropriate to be admitted and prescribed this medication. If admitted, you will receive your first dosed in the office under supervision, and to determine an effective dosage level. You will then be given a prescription, complete instructions including side effects and benefits of this medication. A follow up appointment will be given and the physician and therapist will follwo up with you by telephone. There is 24 hour access to a staff member and the physician, if necessary.

Stabilization & Maintenance— Our physician will see you in follow up medicagtion management sessions as scheduled, in order to monitor progress, adjust the dose of medication if necessary, and address any issues that may affect treatment. Your addiction therapy sessions will begin the following week, and you will design your own unique Treatment Plan, and which Adjunctive Services you will be engaging in along with your therapy. Other services offered are Fitness Training, Nutritional Counseling, Various Support and Education Groups. You will be requirfed to meet in counseling at least once a week for one hour.

Medical Withdrawal—If and when you, your therapist and the physician determine the time is right, our physician will slowly taper down your dose. Generally, at this point, therapy will increase to assist in discharge and follow up plans. By now you will have created a plan for your recovery and built up a sober support network and begun to use it proactively.
